wish away

wish you were here? hey. me too! i'm not actually positive where "here" is, i just know it would be anywhere away from boise. don't get me wrong. i love my home town. my stompin grounds. there's something wonderful about knowing this city backwards and forwards, about being able to recall when eagle road was more like being out in melba than a fast paced thorough-fair, or when the winters brought us "feet" of snow that would linger for weeks. yep, i like that. BUT i dont like the inversions. no-sir-eee. hate them. i've had a permenant post-nasal drip and cough that feels like i've got hay in my chest for about a week now and i've had it. anyone with me? now, i'll stop here. i'm not up for complaining, cause a little inversion isn't bad when it's the largest of our concerns. take for example earthquakes, hurricanes, tornados...i'm very thankful to not have to be worried about those. but still, the inversion is gettin in my head. sooo, if i had a choice, i'd like to pick right up and head where it's clear. to a lake or a nice beach. (btw where my brother and his family are right now! so jealous) i guess for now i'll have to settle for living vicariously through others (preferably those on the life style's of the rich and famous!) at least until it's my turn. we haven't had an official vacation (official meaning at least a 5 day minimum) in over two years. and let me tell you...we need it.
so now you know what to pray for :O) thanks, i'll take all i can get. till then, i'll be at the pool, with my eyes closed, imagining i'm on the beautiful shores of maui! it could happen!
