thanks for all your kind words regarding our lack of health around here. oddly, i'm still feeling a bit yuck but i personally thing it's the lack of sunshine :O) who's with me? this weather has GOT TO GO!!! don't get me wrong, i'm an avid supporter of some good rainy days, but not so much of the cold rainy days, that linger, on and on and on...
so yesterday, i believe i reached another milestone with my son. i am constantly talking him through everything we do, see, touch, experience. making sure he hears plenty of words to associate the things he sees so he can begin to form words. he's doing well, in terms of what he knows, but he's not always the best about actually saying the word itself. don't let that fool you. he knows what your saying, he just has a harder time communicating back. all that to say yesterday he was standing near our coffee table and i see him reach up to get a grip, something was going down if you know what i mean. i looked at him and said "what are you doing?" he looked down and said "poo." my eyes lit with such pride! he told me he was going poo! what a little stud. at 18 months i'm very happy about that. maybe that's nothing to you moms, typical of his age. but what do i know? he's my first and i thought it was pretty great. all i could think was...yes, now he knows, therefore maybe we can start to potty train when he turns two. that's sort of been my goal, but i know my son. if he decides he doesnt' want to, he could be five before he goes poop in the potty :O) (i may have just marked my path)
so anyway, cheers my son. good job. let's keep up the good work and keep on talkin!
may i venture to another subject?. i'm so happy david cook won! i definately casted a few votes for him. i think he was destined to win this and he's got a much higher hope of a future in the world he's entering than archuletta would have. not that archuletta can's sing, that's just plain obvious. he's an amazing singer and is actually more accurate and flawless, not to mention incredibly gracious. he will have a succesessful career, it will just be interesting to see in what genre of music. i think cook fits the profile of "american idol" a little better and can probably handle what's ahead for him. we shall see? do we have another daughtry in our midst? hmmmm.

Although I'm a little ashamed of being and American Idol fan, i do have to say that David cook was my spot on favorite from about week 4 on. I'm glad he won too. Archuleta put me to sleep every time he sang. I just got tired. Plus, i couldn't stand the obvious "overlooking" from the judges anytime he made a mistake. Good on ya David Cook. You've restored my faith in the american public... not really.
so happy you are on the mend. i am so not a fan of the stomach flu. whenever the kids get it i wash my hand so much that they dry out and crack and bleed. it's painful but i haven't had the stomach flu in two years. woot woot.
i may have just jinxed myself.
i too thought mr. cook was just more real. little david always looked so blown away and gracious at the beginning after he sang and then at the end, that surprised look and soft face started to look painted. mr. cook is more seasoned and will appreciate what he has been given.
hopefully, now that you all are feeling better, you are getting more rest, huh? so sorry you had a rough week. thanks again for watching pres.
i was very happy to see d.c. win.... and by 12 million votes. the way simon railed him the night before, which was unwarranted, it made the win that much sweeter. i have a feeling the people rallied.
agree hot potatoe. i thought the same thing. i was thinking...what the heck is simon talking about. i loved cook's performances.
glad you're back safely. and you're so welcome. i love your little girl and so does my son!
