the ever clever catch and release

traditionally, mornings are a bit of a blur in our home. a morning ba ba, maybe a little today show and some coffee for mom, re-discovering the toys, and possibly a little breakfast for the boy. many mornings though, it just may consist of a little game i like to call "catch and release." there is nothing my son loves more than to be chased. i mean, talk about pullin a smile out when i thought there was none to be found. it will lift his little spirits in about 5.5 seconds, just the amount of time i need to let out a ferocious roar and begin toward him with wild and animated gestures. pure uninhibited joy, with shouts and squeels of glee! the catch is wonderful, it's what he lives for, but then the release to let the whole thing begin again? priceless! it IS the hightlight of the morning and it always makes me giggle at how much he loves it. he'll literally get himself so worked up that he almost becomes immobile with excitement. i must admit, it's a pretty good time.
i mean, who in their heart of hearts doesn't like to be pursued.

Man, to think of how many amazing things that we're missing out on. Time with family is so precious and I can't wait to be with you guys again and see little Ry. The next time we'll get to see him he'll almost be 2! Enjoy these precious moments.

Isn't life crazy? Who would of guessed that motherhood could be quite so fulfilling- I mean I knew it was going to be great, but nothing like it has turned out to be! Glad you are enjoying your little man so much! You are a great mom!
