i think it's so funny how everytime i ask my son if he wants something, he just repeats what i've said. he rarely just uses those word himself to tell me what he wants, i have to use the guessing game and go through his small vocabulary options. his answers are one word with eyebrows raised, nodding his head yes, but repeating each word as if it's his question to me...
for examply... i say "do you want your book?"
his answer - boo?
bottle?
r - ba ba
puppy?
r - pu pu
balloon?
r - bawoo
num num's?
r - na na
or as it happens more often than not, he comes to me with repeated attempts of "uh?uh?" then points. then i follow him around till i've figured out what it is he is asking me for.
i will say, he is a smart little booger, he just hasn't taken the time to master his words. he's getting there. he's more interested on figuring out what heights he can reach, what he can climb on, and what he can turn off and on. not to mention how many things he can get into and throw on the floor before i catch up to him.
all in all, he's such a joy. he runs me ragged, especially at such an inquisitive time in his life. he's very active, loves to be outside, and is highly social, SO i spend a lot more time with him, playing, going for walks, letting him lead me to something he wants to show me. yes, it's constant interruption so things get a little behind, but i just tell myself to let it go, the work will be there tomarrow, but these brief moments with my son won't. i'm trying my best to cherish them. to log them in my memory and sometimes just top and watch. he's an amazing little boy and i'm soo blessed.

Well, I'm glad I'm not the only one who can't understand him! I just usually nod my head and say 'Oh yeah?' Babies are funny like that. You just have to acknowledge them and they go on jibber jabbering. I love it!
