the final word

that's right. this is my final word on this subject. don't be sad :O) yes, i get the final word cause it's my blog. just teasin. in all seriousness, thanks to my mom's dvr i was able to skip through the full program of "idol gives back" and i want to make one last comment. i'm proud of their efforts. i'm glad they use their stage to do something for so many in need. 25million raised! that's incredible! it's a good cause and with or without the final performance, the money goes to help others and that is exactly what christ called us to. to help the poor. to give of ourselves. so in spite of what i may have thought of them singing "shout to the lord," the message of the song rings true and the fact remains that lives were changed. i'm confident that many of those lives touched will result in coming to know the lord personally. i'm also confident that god will be and always is glorified and i'm proud of our country because we always step up and reach out. we willingly take on the burdens of the suffering because we are the greatest country in the world. why? because we were founded on the word of god. so there you go.
