my girlfriend's blog post the other day about report cards got me thinking.... what if WE got report cards in our adult life? ugh...who would grade us? our spouses? family? friends? co-workers? church attenders? people we minister to? God? what subjects would we be graded in? social studies? communication? health and fitness? maybe subjects more like integrity? gratitude? life skills? finances? what would people REALLY say about how we live our lives and how we treat others or even how we treat ourselves? how many of us think we would get all A's anymore (not that all of got all A's in school...)? i don't know if most of us could really handle the out come. if we were brutally honest and assessed our own lives every once in a while, i think most of us could wind up with some detention, loss of priviledges, or maybe even some homework assignments. well, it's something to think about anyway... i would hope we'd all get straight A's, but if not, if we ended up w/a few C's or god forbid, D's, we can cling to the hope of improvment. that with a little discipline and determination to change we could become the person we would hope others see us as.

Great post Steph. Very, very, thought provoking. I can't tell you how many times I have been disciplining Luke and thought to myself, what right do I have to discipline him when I myself deserve a multitude of spankings. Thank the Lord for Grace...
Ugg. I know I fall so short of where I wish to be. I'm sure we each "Grade" each other in our minds sometimes, but what right do we really have to do that, when we ourselves, have so much homework to do to improve?
See you got the music on -- yay! :)
Yes...would be interesting to say the least! :)
