dare you to move...

today was the beginning of our "dare you to move" campaign to raise money for our new church building. the service was awesome! it was one of the most fun and unique yet and i think i can attest to that since i've been here since the beginning. i think back to the old days when we were in the old part of the building (before we had the sanctuary we have now) and how far we've come. we used to do hymns and that was it. i remember when steve green and amy grant were cutting edge. and getting my dad to let us listen to christian rock was like pulling teeth. aahhh i'm so proud of him and jeff for where they've been willing to take this church. it's so exciting and i was really impressed w/the semi-secular/christian song they chose as a solo. anyway... i was challenged and i left excited yet a little afraid cause i know God will require something great from us in our faith for this campaign.
i hope those of you there were also motivated to give God the opportunity to do something amazing in your life.

What an awesome service this morning! I am so excited to see what the Lord has planned for our church family over the next 6 weeks.

And, a comment for your previous post: What a little sweetheart you have! Neither one of my kids sucked their thumbs and I just think it is so precious that Rykon does. That first year is so exciting to watch them grow. I can't believe Rykon is already (almost) 3 months old! It sure goes by fast doesn't it.
