all i can say about her is fabulous!!!! get up off your chair and shout it out for Rachel Roy. if you watched oprah today you saw her latest spring line and it was sooooo beautiful. i'd never heard of her till today but i'm crazy about her designs and her take on fashion. she says that she actually likes her clothes on women w/curves more than her models and gets her inspiration from her own daily needs and the women of early hollywood. i agree with her and love her sweet disposition. she doesn't seem to take herself too seriously and seems very grounded. i think we will all see much more of her in the future. check her collections out on www.rachelroy.com

i saw the show and i fell in love with her and her fashion. i know what you mean by her sweet nature. wasn't she one of those people you could see being friends with? i could. plus, her philosophy was great. "i make the clothes i need. i am inspired by what part i want to cover up or show. i am a woman with curves so i don't want clothes to always show what's going on under there....but if you feel you look good anyway, you move through life with your head up." at least she said something like that. love her.
how often do we look in our closets, and based on how we feel about ourselves that day, look for that piece that will show or not show something in order for us to feel our best? it's at those times that i often feel like i wish i could sew because maybe then i could piece something together that "i" needed!!!!!
so it was really refreshing to hear her story. great post.

I couldn't agree more. I DVR'd the show and watched it today. I loved her clothes and philosophy. She seems satisfied with who she is. I love that she doesn't pretend to be something she is not! I hope she has much success!
