Flakes a fallin

Well, it finally showed. Here's a picture of my home as proof that there were flakes on the ground...but alas, they only lasted through the night. And as always in the Boise valley, the sun came out and washed them away. So very sad. I was like a giddy school girl. I love the snow. I was out the door standing in it as those big fluffy flakes fell. I took pictures and hoped it would last all winter. I guess because it reminds me of my childhood. We used to get a lot of snow here back when I was in elementary school. Inches that would stay for days. We would hooky bob on the back of dad's car, or throw a sled on the back or maybe even a rope to pull us on our ski's around the neighborhood. We'd be out the door making snow men, snow forts, having snow ball fights, or making snow ice cream (yes... it's a real thing and soooo delicious!) Those were the good ole days. I hope those winters return by the time my little ones are old enough to make the same memories. If not I guess we'll just keep making our trips up to Bogus to get our fix.
