we all need love

Is this not the sweetest thing you've ever seen? If you haven't read the circulating email, this is a one year old hippo that survived the Tsunami, but lost it's family. He found this century old male tortiose and has decided to make him his "mommy," of which the tortoise has embraced. The two go everywhere together and if you get near, the hippo hisses at you as to say, "come one step closer to my momma and I'll charge." Call my silly and sappy, but I loved this! Here I am about to become a "mommy" myself and I just found this the sweetest, most endearing thing. I'm think I may have cried when I read the whole thing. It just reminded me that we all need love and companionship. God even created animals w/a desire to connect. So maybe it will serve as a reminder to us to reach out. There are many lonely and lost "hippos" we could probably touch in a special way, even though we may not feel suitable or right for the job. God can use us in the most unique circumstances that goes beyond our comprehension... I guess a lot like a hippo and a tortoise!
