a few happenins and a greatful heart
couple quick things before i go back to bed (been up with sleepless boy).
thanks to those of you who stopped by the townhomes. the turn out was incredible. i'm sure they'll be gone before we know it!
also, i have a confession to make. wth all you folks talkin about wanting to get christmas decor up and not sure if it's too early? i've had mine up for a week now. yep. i did it and it feels great. now i get to enjoy all the beautiful things till january! so go ahead. get going. you'll feel better when it's done and it will be one less thing you have to do after thanksgiving.
oh, and i'm turning 33! does it sound as boring as i think it does?? anyone else had a 33rd bday and didn't even realize it had come and gone? mmmmmm. that's just sad. actually, i'm totally cool with it. as long as i have a little time with my family and friends, i'm happy. (and a specific request to my hubby. i want to stay up late and sleep in late just once this weekend :O) guess that's what it is about. just celebrating life. and i have a good one i might add. is everything the way i'd like it to be? heck no. do i have trials i'm in still? heck yes. is God refining me daily??? oh yeah baby. but i'm content and i REALLY want to stay that way. it's such a peacful hopeful place to be.
with that said, i'd like to say my "thanksgivings" just a little early. maybe to help one of you remember all the things you have to be thankful and greatful for.
so here it goes...to the one who gives all and takes all away!
LORD, i'm thankful for:
my savior and eternity with you
a god who loves me the way i am
for friends and family that love me the way i am
for a compassion, considerate, hard working, enthusiastic, loyal husband
for a healthy, happy, engergetic, kind hearted son
for a mom that is my best friend, my encourager, my ear, and my cheerleader
for a dad who adores me, supports me, encourages me, and just plain likes me :O)
for friends that are constistant, dependable, god fearing, and loyal
for a roof over my head
for food in my pantry and fridge
for two vehicles in good working order
for money in the bank enough to cover bills
for fall
for beautiful things in my home
for the colors of fall
the smell of winter in the air
for health
for the fact that my husband has a steady job in this market and even as hard as it is, he keeps on keepin on
for bible studies that challenge, teach, and encourage me in th Word
for accountability
for my church (the people of course)
for a warm bed and warm water to shower in
for peppermint mocha creamer :O)
for a God who is always and will always be in control and have complete victory over this life!
i could go on forever...i'm pretty sure, but i'll stop there. feel free to add your thankfulness. i'd love to hear all about it.
