ok...so here's the deal. for some reason, everytime i need to use the ladies room, my son freaks. he is not ok with the idea of my being behind that door where he cannot see me. i'm actually not completely sure what the problem is, i just know he is not ok with it. so, what i usually have to do is wait until he's occupied and then make a run for it. IF he hears even the slightest creek of sound from the door, i'll hear a whine followed by little feet, "pitter patter" across the tile. before i know it, he's at the door yelling at me, pounding with all his might with whatever instrument he can find. if there is nothing near by, it's his hand. sometimes he'll get down on the floor on his belly and try to put his little fingers under the door as if to say, "you can't hide mama, i know you're in there." i know. he's crazy huh? he will not relent. he is determined to get through that door. he cannot stand to not know what is going on. guess he feels left out. well, maybe this is just another window of opportunity to begin the potty training, seeing as how he's so interested. actually, i think it's more that he can't see methan it is an infatuation with the toilet. not sure. he does take every opportunity he can to put his hands in the toilet (just a warning, if you are watching him, be sure you close your bathroom doors :O). i hope he'll grow out of it, soon. until then, i guess there will be no privacy.
