i can say i'd have a really hard time obeying the law on this one. i mean...is it even possible to go 5 1/2 mph? i tend to have a bit of a lead foot. i have a few tickets to show for it too. it's not as much of a speed thing as it is a multi-tasking issue. i always seem to be doing more than one thing, even when i'm driving. the result? speedster. so, after a couple tickets and a slight elevation of my insurance, i knew i had to do something. of course it wouldn't be the most practical thing; don't multi-task and pay attn to my speed. no, i figured out the best way to control this problem is to remove it from the peddle all together. this is where cruise control comes into play. must be the best invention for a vehicle ever! the minute i'm on the road i accelerate to my desired speed, turn it on, hit the set button, remove my foot, and just pay attn to where i'm going and... maybe the lipgloss i'm applying :O) so for those of you that thought CC was only for long trips, give it a whirl. besides, the speed limit is the law right?

I have never heard of such a low speed limit. Holy cow! That WOULD be tough.
i always feel weird with my cruise control on. kind of like i don't have control over the car when my feet have that much freedom. but, hey, if it's working for you, that's great.
I really see speed limits as GUIDELINES!
You might want to pass that info on to your brother. The lead foot must run in the family. :)
oh, dear lord, help us. you are definitely a multi tasker while in the drivers seat. i am always talkin to jesus when i ride with you. ha!
We have a road that just about every day the cops are "speed trapping" and that is where Ben uses CC. I couldn't imagine putting a car in CC at 5 mph. We have LOTS (I'm really talking LOTS) of retirement communities where all the old yankees are on these "commitees" and regulate all these rules. Most of them have their speed limits set to 11 or 13. That's how fast the golf carts go at max speed. SAD huh!
Now THAT is funny...and totally not even possible.!
