we have this trash can that is sensored, so you just wave your hand over the little eye and it opens. pretty high-tech eh? not so good for 16 month olds. my boy has quickly figured out he likes this contraption. so he frequents it daily. now, he's tall enough to actually see a bit of what's inside when it's reaching it's capacity. so, there have been many a times when i'm grasping at him before he pulls something nasty out.
today, he got to it before i noticed. the next thing i know, he's chomping down on the eggshell that i discarded this morning for breakfast. that crunching sound made me realize that he'd suceeded in his efforts. yuck. i think we got it all out! but just a warning....i don't recommend the hightech garbage cans for those with little ones. at least keep it in a pantry or something :O)
