a little french cottage, eclectic and cozy, slopes and peaks to catch your interest, the aroma of blooming flowers to greet you as you approach, & the welcome of aged walls and furniture that could tell you a story.

maybe i would sit on the edge of the ocean, worn and weathered, creeking wooden floors, cool colors, adirondacks awaiting my arrival on the porch, shingles greyed by the sandy winds, nestled in among the trees, with views in every direction, and a salty breeze making it's way through the halls.

i might just find myself as a european chateau. deep, rich tones and crown molding describe me perfectly. majestic and warm, glowing with history and memories, i welcome in all who make their way across my threshold to enjoy a hot cup of tea by fire side.

but then again, there's always tuscany. to be an old italian farmhouse, nestled in the rolling hills, surrounded by sunflowers & grapes on the vine as far as the eye can see. an old bottle of wine, fresh bread from the local bakery, and local cheeses piled high on a table wait to be devoured. ancient ruins surrounding tell of my past and predict my future.

and who could forget spanish colonial? wise with it's history, voices echoing for days as they bounce off the colorful tiles that spread throughout the house. a courtyard that welcomes even the most skeptical critic and walls alive with style and creativity. bright and airy, i bring seclusion and relaxation.
I guess in some way, i'd like to be a little of each. i find myself hard to define, never having favorites, but loving a little about everything i see, touch, & taste. i guess that is what makes life so unpredictable and lovely. there are so many things to enjoy and there's nothing that says you can't! i can appreciate the hard labor, the creativity, and the personality that a home exudes.
so...what kind of house would you like to be?

I think I would be a cozy cabin and an old farm house with a some shabby chic thrown in!
I love them all just not the mortgage that goes along with them! Check out my blog you've been tagged.
