i don't know about you, but i've been sooooo tired lately. i think it's a combination of the heat and just being so busy. seems like we have been going non stop. picnics, bbq's, pool dates, fourth of july, appointments, not to mention we have synergy on tuesdays, i have wrsp team practice on weds, and then home teams on thursdays. and it doesn't stop there! we have white water rafting, more bbq's, floating the river, and a camping trip coming up in the next few weeks. but don't get me wrong, i wouldn't really change much cause we enjoy being active and spending time with our friends and families, especially during the summer when we can be outside. we just have to make sure to have down time, if not for us, but for the boy. i'm sure he's wondering what he got himself into :o)
on a different note, i hope your fourth was nice. we spent it at rich's brother's house. i got some cute pictures of rykon's first exeperience with a sparkler and with his GREAT grandparents. we finished the evening by heading downtown to catch the big fireworks display the city put on. it was just awesome! rich and i love fireworks.

we spent the earlier part of the day with my family at the pool. rykon has grown to love the water quickly which we are very happy for.

the more important thing that i wanted to share is a little of God's grace. ok, maybe a lot. Yes...alot! things have not been so easy lately, thanks to an impulsive decision my hubby and i made last year to buy a home. things turned out badly as we did not get what we planned for the home we sold and on top of that got into a bad deal with our loan officer and ended up with a very high monthly pymt. my husband has worked his tail off to ensure we make it each month and we have, just barely. and i mean barely. june came and we did not have enough to make all our bills (house pymt with high medical and school loans...ugh!). i kept jokingly thinking...ok God, when's our check comin cause it's too late for rich to get a closing this month and we are out of cash. well it did come! in the form of an anonymous check, sealed in an envelope, taped to our front door. inside with the check was this verse.
"so Jesus answered and said to them, have faith in God. For assuredly i say to you, whoever says to this mountain, be removed and be cast into the sea, and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. therefore i say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray believe that you recieve them and you will have them." Mark 11:22-24
AWESOME HUH? i've always believed that God can do these kinds of things and i've been praying more along the lines of this verse the last couple of months. not only for money, but in general. i've seen God come through this exact way in my own life and random times and it never ceases to amaze me. i won't lie, it has been a lesson in humility. but we grow wiser with every failure and trial we overcome...so in that light, we try to embrace our tribulations.
i DO want to make sure that whoever did this knows how greatful we are. we know that God could have just made it happen, but he usually uses his children and we are greatful that someone had the faith to believe God and was willing to be obedient. it was not a small amount and so thank you from the bottom of our hearts. we are confident that God will bless you ten fold!

amazing really. i love to hear things like that... builds my own faith. thanks for sharing. i am happy to hear you had fun on the fourth. we did our own version of fireworks outside your folks house. luke, peyton, and weston all were too scared to sit out and watch. so, annaleise and presleigh "manned" up and took one for the team. pretty funny. maybe next year.

see you soon.

I'm really happy for you guys. What a neat love letter from God, you got! I am praying along these lines as well as Eliseo's job may be on the line this week at Micron. And just like you with your house - our house could be on the line too. Thanks for sharing the verse...
