too long have i waited

i have always been a little green...but a little lazy too. well, maybe not lazy, but definately a procrastinator! i have always bent a little to the green side in that i really feel guilty when i waste anything (hence all the left overs in my fridge and lotion bottles with a teaspoon of lotion in them!). i have also always felt strongly that organic is the best way to go. unfortunately organic is about twice as much! so i rarely buy it. but someday, i keep telling myself, someday i will be able to.
with so much conviction i finally got my recycle bins and now i cannot stop. i can barely throw anything away if i know it can be recyled. in fact, i have two bins so that i can recycle everything from paper/cardboard & plastic, to tin & glass. if it has that little symbol on it

...it goes in the bin. i don't think it's a bad thing though. i feel at least i'm helping the enviroment as much as i can. i am planning to convert over to green cleaning products and would love to have a hybrid car some day. maybe like this one?

ok, maybe in my dreams...but hey, it's the thought that counts right.
so anyway. i hope that i can continue on my quest to be more eco-friendly and hopefully instill a little green in my kiddos. that's got to be worth something right?

Ugh - we barely recycle. We do newspapers, cardboard, and milk jugs - that's about it! But I do wish I could go more organic (you're right about it being much more spendy!) I hate thinking about all the chemicals we're ingesting!
I've been looking into herbs and vitamins a bit more -- trying to get healthier.

good for you! we have recycled just about everything since we got married. we always figured if they give you a tub and all you have to do is fill it then why not.
