family time

this is where rich and i were this last weekend. beautiful mccall, idaho. we stayed in a very nice two bedroom condo with my my brother, sister-in-law, and their two children.

i'd say all in all it was a very nice mini vacation. about the only one we are going to get this summer unfortunately. thursday night after we unloaded, we hit "the marina" for dinner and "icecream alley" for dessert. rich and jake (and my dad who flew up that morning) spent friday golfing at the beautiful tamarack course...

afterward we took a much needed dip in the pool and a soak in the spa and then fired up the grill and filled our bellies with brats and pots! mmmmm. saturday beth and i got to do a little shopping downtown and when we returned we packed everyone up to do a little fishing. we headed for the mountains and found a beautiful lake to cast our lines into, but luck was not with us. so we headed further up to granite lake where jake and rich found a litte more luck on their side. with the exception of a few tangles and few luers lost, it was a good day. we settled down for some potpie back at the condo and layed our weary heads to rest.
sunday we were able to visit elk creek baptist church for some great worship. our trip had to come to end as all the kiddos fell into a deep sleep. so we grabbed some grub and made our way back down the mountain. we got home in plenty of time to do some much needed work in the yard and garage. our weekend ended with some episodes of "king of the hill" and an early night to bed.
