yesterday was my first mother's day. what a surreal experience. you think you'll never get there, then bam...one day it happens. well my husband made sure it was a very special day. he had secretly put hours into a video of my pregnancy, delivery, and moments with my boy in his first 6 months. awaiting me in my family room was a bouquet of flowers, card, and a sign that said "push play." i cried through the whole thing.
it was also a very special day because my baby boy got dedicated. this is such a special moment to me, because i love this little ceremony where everyone in our family (personal and church) gathers around, committing to support and raise this little life, in the admonition of the Lord. it's an amazing feeling to have so many around you who's goal is the same as yours. to teach and instruct your little one in the ways of Jesus. we are blessed. they say it takes a village to raise a child and i agree. i want help & imput from others because there is just no way for me to have every experience, have every wisdom. i want my son to learn from his grandparents, his aunts, uncles, and cousins. we all come from different background with experiences that make us unique. i am excited to see what kind of man he will be as this family rallies around him. because of this he will not be able to deny that God is alive and actively pursueing a loving relationship with him as he reveals himself through the relationships in his life.

We got to dedicate Bryson on Mother's Day last year. What a great way to make the day just perfect. What a sweet gift from Rich too. Glad you had a great 1st Mother's Day!

That was a great video! I never got to see him when he was just born or since he's grown up. How sweet and what an amazing thing to have forever.
