so a few of you might be dyin to comment on last night's performance. let me just say that i will not pretend to be the end all on talent and with that i also want to clarify that i do realize that ALL the top 12 girls have great talent, but there are two that should have never been allowed to move into the top 12. Antonella and Alaina as discussed yesterday. i'm not sayin they can't sing, but they are no where close to the same league as the other girls. last night they proved me right w/their less than perfect, out of tune performances. what irritates me about that is now..because the judges let them through(even simon i might add, who's been coming down so hard on them) they will believe that they are good enough to produce an album AND because they "got the look", probably will.
ok, enough about that. on to the talent....
so this is my order of favs. melinda first for me. the girl is amazing and she has the most endearing, kind spirit about her. simon is right on about this girl.
second is lakisha. love her too. love her energy, her smile, and her pure determination. she is going far w/or w/out this competition.
lastly is stephanie. she's amazing. love her passion and style. all the girls have a nice humility to them.
i wanted to say something about jordin and sabrina cause they are amazing vocalists too, but after last night, i narrowed it down to these top three. let's just be honest...all the ethnic beauties got it goin on!!! i will say that i feel for all the girls. after seeing haley cry, it just reminded me how difficult all this must be. all the girls...yes even the beautiful ones, come off to me as very sincere, kind ladies and i respect that in them. it makes me feel more for them as they put themselves out there and lay it all on the line. it also makes the show more enjoyable.

i would again agree. melinda was the strongest last night, lakisha was on top last week for sure. stephanie, she is awesom, fun to watch, and consistant as well. so they have themselves a competition! this is an amazing season--i love about 5 of the guys and about 5 of the girls--so i am excited to see the weeks unfold.
I agree with you on the top two. I think I might like Jordin better as a third choice instead of Stephanie though. I just didn't care for her Beyonce song - but maybe it was just song selection.
I hate to admit it but i'm watching as well. The soul sistas are bringin it this year. There is no comparison between the top two and the rest. They hit almost every note and have a great stage presence as well. Props to my sistas. Word.
