looky looky
well, what do we have here. i spy something light, fluffy, and white! you guessed it. "Snow...Snow...Snow...Snow..." (one of my favorite holiday songs performed by Danny Kaye and Bing Crosby and i'm sure you are all singing it now) it just started about 45 minutes ago and the streets are officially covered. now if only it wouldn't stop until we have at least 6 inches. that's enough to get a snow man put together and have a snowball fight. a foot would give us snow ice cream :o) can you tell i love snow? i'm like a fat kid in a candy store! right now the kids across the street are pulling their little sister down the road in a sled. oh how i wish i was out there with them. i'd be putting up a good fight to be the one on the sled! it will be so much fun when rykon is old enough to enjoy those things. heck, we'll have him out rolling around in the snow next winter!
so on another subject. some of you are inquiring about "raquelette". basically it is a type of grilling appliance. it has a griddle on top where you can cook your meat and underneath the griddle the coils heat up and there are little mini pie shaped pans w/handles that you put your veges and cheese in and heat up till the cheese is bubbly. you can eat it w/potatoes, but we usually just have some dipping sauces for the meat. it is sooo yummy. the best part is that you have to wait for everything to cook, so the idea is that you eat slowly and get to spend most of your time socializing. that is what makes it an event in itself. and if you know my family...you know the socializing part is a must.

I had to drive in that snow! Took me an hour to get home from getting the girls from school!

Thanks for explaining the ragulette - the bubbling cheese (we'll just forget about the vegetables) sounds like the best part! HA
