Festivities and more....

ok, so it wasn't the boston pops, but last night we went to our church Christmas party and i must say, i was really impressed. i really love christmas parties and so i was hoping this one would be worth the effort it takes to get out of the house w/a baby. well, the whole thing was wonderful. i want to give props to Lori for the amazing job on the food and beth for helping her. you guys did great! it was especially tasty. mmmmm! the decorations were beautiful. the entertainment was great and i must say that Sasha's performance was by far my favorite. i never new he had such talent! the gift exchange was unique and fun. a friend of ours, rob, read a story they'd written, dressed up as an old man, and every time he said the word "and" you had to switch your gift. it made it interesting, especially if you new there was a particular gift you wanted to get. the only unfortunate part was that because everyone was so busy running around and listening for the cue to switch, most of us didn't really hear the story at all! anyway, we had fun w/our friends and i always love that. the best part was that my son did so well. we weren't ready to put him in the nursery so we kept him w/us. he was awake most of the evening, but really well behaved (for a 5 1/2 week old:o)

I wasn't able go to the party last night, but heard that a fun time was had by all! I talked to Sasha lastnight after the party and said he did a rockin' job on the song.
